412. absolute boyfriend review + evil muzzer™ rant
Waaah, the Zettai Kareshi jdrama is super awesome!

spoilers? )

Now on to the muzzer™ rant (these are getting a little scarce these days, haha [/sarcasm])~
This morning while I was going to bed (this statement is ironic by itself) she randomly woke up and saw that I was still up and came in and started a whole speech about how I'm completely worthless and have developed an addiction to the computer (on which I have two comments: one, it's better than being addicted to alcohol or cigarettes, and two, it's not an addiction per se, because -and I have proved this during the past year- I can in fact live without a computer AND without an internet connection. if I take away her morning coffee she'll be dragging herself around all day. THAT's an addiction). True, I tend to stay up all night on the computer because I'm doing things online, things I don't even manage to finish, and most of the time I have at least five other things I need to do but never have time for. For me, for some of you and for most people on this site or deviantArt, these things are understandable. Perhaps my turning around of the biological clock would be frowned upon, but I'd get a sympathetic "I know what you mean". That means something to me. And I'm not about to go onto the cliche argument of how the generations now have a rift and there's no way my mother would understand something so ahead of her own time as livejournal, icons, Johnny's Entertainment or the crack found in Prince of Tennis and D-Boys, because let's face it, it's a fact. I will never expect her to understand this. However, I will not put up with derogatory characterisations and comparisons with my father (something she always does whenever I'm being lazy or bored and laying about), because it's my own kind of hobby and I feel like I'm making something, instead of just sitting there surfing. Essentially it is just surfing, but it's somehow more than that. It's hard to explain.

If you understand, thank you. If you don't, please don't start with muzzer-like comments because frankly, I've had enough. Don't go on about how "she's right, you know", because I do know, and I am trying to turn the clock around, and I don't need anyone to tell me that. I hate it when people tell me what to do or not do.

Johnny's rambles:
  1. Something I've wanted to point out since I first saw the Keep the Faith PV (which by the way, KICKS ASS): Don't Kame and Jin (especially Jin though) look very tired? Jin has bags under his eyes that are super evident, and Kame as well though his are not so puffy. Also Jin's solo cam parts look like he's just doing this to get it over with, with a few usual grimaces and movements which guarantee the kakoi effect. Near the end he looks so exhausted, like he's keeping himself awake. *sigh* Those two should stop staying up late doing naughty things, especially on work nights. There's weekends for that, boys.
  2. Is Kanjani8's Purin a song about what I think it is? Actual pudding?!?! I didn't like them much before but THIS SONG MAKES UP FOR EVERYTHING I SWEAR. XDDDDD *sings along* "Purin, purin, daisuki sa purin~~" *g*
  3. I had a dream last night and it involved me and Ikuta Toma in uh, embarrassing scenes. *blush* I didn't know I liked him so much, lol. (There was also Oguri Shun, with very fuzzy hair and a weird hair accessory on his head. Later on for some reason it got curly. My subconscious is confused about Oguri Shun's hair, apparently. For good reason too, but that's another story.)

[info]katiedistance , yo!

Happy Easter to those of you who are Orthodox. Χριστός ανέστη, χρόνια πολλά, και του χρόνου με υγεία ευτυχία και αγάπη, etc.
I am SO not Christian, yet I like the feeling of something returning each year, like the tradition of Easter. Lighting the candles in front of the church is really fun, you mingle with a lot of people you don't know. Even in the slight rain, like last night. *sigh*

Uhm. Have spent most of my day looking at JE pr0n icons. And downloading DBSK photobooks.
It's been productive. XD I feel a craving to read moar KAT-TUN gossip. D: From the olden wank days too, haha.

I'm watching Dennou Coil, and it KICKS ASS.
Also starting Zettai Kareshi jdrama tomorrow (because now I have the precise amount of energy required to finish this entry & crawl into bed).

Did manage to salvage my patterns, but barely (yesterday I slept from 10:30 till 4, alhtough I was woken up like a million times... then last night I slept at 2am and I woke up today at noon :D) ~ only to fuck them up again today. Observe the time plzkthx.
Eh well. At least it's manageable.

[info]xmtx !!! I NEED TO SEE YOU! D: Sorry I was busy on MSN today, I was fixing this piece of junk :P

I want to give a proper welcome to my new friends: [info]dinosunglasses , [info]marilena_r , [info]x_saru_x  (I swear I think of you each time real person slashfics are mentioned, ahhhh), [info]seanata , [info]arsinoi , [info]arakas , [info]hiroki_chan , [info]greek_dude . I hope I'm not forgetting anyone! :) Hi and hope I will talk to you a lot and learn stuff about you and become friends. I like making friends. :3

Now that I've got the DBSK photobooks I've been looking for (mainly the Bonjour Paris series, and some others), I will go on a D-Boy spree when I next have time. I want those scans where Araki and Zukki have sandwitched Seto and are almost molesting him, GAYNESS GALORE XDDD

MASSIVE CATCHING UP ON FLIST TOMORROW. I'll try, at least. :*
Hope all of you are safe and okay, talk to you soon. ^^

404. NOT FOUND.
(Could not resist the 404 joke, apparently. :P)

Broken hardware, I hate you.
My stupid DVD recorder has officially died and refuses to read DVDs.
And I really, REALLY wanted to look at/edit the pictures we took with Amy on Saturday (a photoshoot in which I was the model, zomg?!)
Plus she gave me all this stuff I want to watch, but no, my computer is a BITCH.

So far I've been thinking of it as a guy, but there's no way a guy is THIS cranky. So it's a girl.
And she's probably PMSing on me right now.

These days were pretty darn awesome. (Well, except for the major schedule screw-up on Sunday >.<)
Amy came on Wednesday, we met up :D there was much squealing, and then I took her to a podcast session with me... It was fun.
Thursday... I finished Amy's birthday present (a necklace and bracelet set, really pretty... Didn't take any pictures though, I forgot >.<) and met up with [info]hyuuga_princess... She showed me her doujin WIPs and stuff, it was really nice. (Although seriously, one needs to also listen when in a conversation, not just talk about themselves... I'm just saying this out of good faith Nicky, don't get mad at me or anything, but I got the feeling like I didn't say anything while we were talking, I was only listening to you... >.< Not that you don't have extremely interesting things to say, but you hardly ever listen to other people... it's a bad habit. ~_~)
Friday we met up with Amy again, she came to my house and then we went podcasting again, she even participated in the recording yay ^^
then she came to my place and we stayed up ALL NIGHT doing stuff (exchanging files, music, icons, etc) and watching random things (like Kanesaki Kentarou's idol DVD *shot*) 'Twas awesome :D We went to bed at like 8 @_@ and we had to wake up at 11. We did NOT. :P On a random note, Toma Ikuta *points at icon* was soooo cute when he was younger {y'know, Johnny's Junior days}... We were watching an old vid on YouTube and I didn't even recognise him haha~)
Saturday Amy, Alice, Mt and I met up (I hadn't seen Alice or Mt since... forever!), went to eat and then went to see a school band play (the members are Alice's and my friends from Drama Club last year)... They were okay... for a first concert. They still need a lot of work though (mada mada dane!!) and Alice and I volunteered to help. Und zen we ate sweet stuffz and laughed like hell.

Mt had bought a strawberry liquid soap, and wanted to show it to us. He opened it so we could smell it but then he couldn't get it closed -_-''... Upon trying to close it he made a considerable amount squirt out, and Alice said something along the lines of "don't expect him to listen to you" --referring to the soap, because she has the tendency to give a gender to inanimate objects lol~ :P

And Mt goes like, "it's a she..."
Alice: "Why would you buy a female item?!"
Mt: "... it's cheaper?"
BEST. QUOTE. EVER.

Sunday I was supposed to do a lot of things but didn't do much because my sister failed to wake me up... :(
Had a photoshoot at a friend's house with Amy, I was the model (like I said before), I wore wigs!! Haha, it was nice. One was the Rukia wig for my Bleach cosplay ^^ and the other was an orange wig which Amy is going to use for Orihime, but I wore it anyway because it's so long and silky and soft :D

There was an unofficial devMeet with the photographer dudes but I didn't make it because of the photoshoot. :( I really wanted to be there dammit. I hope there's a next time, because I'd love to see the guys' studio and maybe learn a few tips and tricks from the pros. ;P

And podcast #14 is officially done today! :D But it took forever. We had like 4 recording sessions, one for each part. Usually we do it in two sessions, but this time the timing was just awful. >.< I hope the next one will go smoother. Plus we have all these nifty things coming up in #15, a lot of positive changes and new ideas are being brought in and I'm pretty sure people will love it. ^~^

random: EDITED MYSPACE PROFILE. (well, I changed the layout). I still need to rewrite the profile text, it's been the same for a couple of years orz* :P)

*I really hate this emoticon thingy. I always read it phonetically and it just sounds stupid. However, the concept fits here. :P

That's all I can think of right now.
I'm surprised at how I managed to stay up again when I have been so frickin' tired since 2AM.

I HATE BILL GATES. HATE HIM HATE HIM HATE HIM.
Now I don't know whether I'm blaming the right person or not, but he's at fault ANYWAY for building such a ridiculous OS which completely collapses at the first signs of an obstacle. The whole OS is a COWARD. >_<

The reason for this frustration is that my computer has presented me with its death certificate, sort of.
I mean, I don't know EXACTLY what's going on, but I'll tell you this: it won't log on to fucking WINDOWS except on Safe Mode. Which is what I'm doing right now. SAFE FUCKING MODE.

I hate this system. I hate the hardware. I hate living with the fear that my computer might or might not crash next time I restart it. Because that's what I did. I restarted the thing when it started lagging like a horse in the summer, and then it refused to boot. It restarted itself a couple of times, which had me panicking, and then when I turned it on normally it got stuck at the Windows XP loading screen for-EVER. So I turned it off and back on. Same story. I turned it off again and tried Safe Mode. And it worked. I tried burning a DVD with my documents for backup (because like most people, I don't do backup), and it failed 3 times. I turned it off, tried to turn it on again normally, didn't work. Went for "Safe Mode With Networking" which resulted in this moment's bastardized 800x600 screen with the added benefit of an internet connection.

What. The. Fuck.

I'm calling for help from my pc tech friends tomorrow, but they might not be available due to appointments and stuff, so I don't know if I'll manage to get it fixed tomorrow. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the only OS that can potentially harm itself.  What the hell.  >:(  ASDFGHJKL. >_______<

The good news is that I still have a way to get to the internetz. The bad news is that my machine is not exactly 100% okay. And that makes me worry. And when I worry I get jittery, nervous, hyper, asthmatic, crying, and hyperventilating. It's NOT GOOD FOR ME.

I hate Windows. :(

Because he's also sick and his entries give me courage ^^
All hail the Babelfish, which I use now to translate his entries and read the cuteness itself :3

Ahh, get well soon, Seto-chan!!! *sends love across the world*

On Tuesday I was going to meet up with Kostas and a bunch of other people to discuss a new RPG game we're starting, but I threw up twice and was feeling awful... There was no way I could go anywhere. I've been hauled up inside ever since, but I'm definitely feeling better now ^_^...

On Monday I got back from Xanthi, a greek town in Thrace that has a very lively carnival tradition... Kari, a new friend, is from Xanthi but is in uni here in Thessaloniki, so she invited a bunch of us to go to her place and spend the last weekend of the carnival there, because it's supposed to be great fun. We went there on Friday and returned on Monday. It was Clean Monday, but I didn't get to fly a kite this year! :(
Anyway, I had a great time in Xanthi, despite the fact that it was packed and loud and everyone was getting drunk and stupid and I was like "keh..." In any case Saturday night was the one time I didn't like it, because we went through a very packed street and I was trying to eat a crepe but it was impossible... Why did they go through that alley when they knew my hands (and mouth) were otherwise occupied? *sigh* I really dislike people who disregard others... They get on my nerves. >_< Overall though it was pretty nice, and I had fun with the others who tagged along on the trip. I could go on about the details, but I'm kinda sleepy so I might make a separate entry for the trip, since I have pictures and stuff to share. :D

Today I've been updating stuff on animeplanet, since I've been made a mod on the forum there and stuff... I put up some news etc, it seems like things are about to change on Crunchyroll.com... Too bad, I like that place. I'll keep using it until it falls, lol! ^^ And also, a new Yoko Kamio JDrama was announced for this summer... Yoko Kamio is the manga-ka for Hana Yori Dango, which was a great series... Looking forward to see what the next one is going to be like.

I keep wanting to go back to my Prince of Tennis fic but I never have the time... :(
I'm stuck on chapter 5 like I usually am with most of my stories. Why is number 5 so special? >_< I hate that I leave all my stories at chapter 5. This time it must be different! I've made such great preparations, it will be a shame to leave it like that. I refuse! *eyes glow with determination*

THIS SHIT IS BANANAS (oh yes, I'm back)
Hello lads and lasses, I'm back on LJ alive and kickin'!! :D
My internet connection was reestablished last thursday, and I only now got some time to make a proper post.
OH GOD the things that have happened in my life... You cannot imagine. I have so many things to tell you guys.
There will be time for that though, for now I just have to vent for something I JUST found out and has made me terribly sad:

THE PRINCE OF TENNIS MANGA FINISHED TODAY. :(

I'm so, so depressed. :'( I honestly thought Konomi would continue with Ryoma's story as he became the next captain of Seigaku, or, I don't know, SOMETHING. But no, (spoiler alert) Ryoma won against freakin' YUKIMURA, 6 games to 4 (!!!), and then went to America. On top of everything else, there was a SONG. In the MANGA. Like, Konomi wrote the lyrics and some other dude the music, and the lyrics were written across the manga panels with cheesy slow motion effects and all the characters looking up at the sky. Of course, there was TezuFuji in the chapter which made me squee ^____^, because it's canon and Konomi loves to play with his boytoys and he proved it once more.(end spoilers)

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH :( :( :( :(

I cried when I read the article on ANN. I just went on the site to look something up on the Zenkoku OVAs and there it was! :( I was like, NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU D: D: D: and cried for 10 minutes and then called [info]bushy_haired to tell her the bad news because she still lacks the internets and I doubted she had checked the netz today...

Oh God. Seriously, I can't believe it's over.
The fandom is of course far from dead, but I really wanted more than just winning the Nationals. Then again, if Konomi thinks it's over, it's over. There's no questioning the Man. *sad nod*

Oh well. Expect more entries today/tomorrow with extended recaps of what the heck I've been doing all this time. :D
Till then, toodles. :)

I'M AN OFFICIAL PODCASTER ZOMG!!
I've been invited to become a permanent member of the podcasting team of AnimePlanet.gr!! Is this awesome or what??

For the past 3 hours I've been talking with the founder of the website, Elissaios, on Skype, and we have so many interests in common, it's been three hours of pure win and randomness... He listens to soundtracks, watches japanese live action series, knows his fair share of Prince of Tennis stuff, and is of course into japanese music like a normal anime-addict. He's 26, a web-developer, and is very much like me.

The appearance on the podcast was supposed to be a guest appearance for the next episode on January 10th, but as we talked on he proposed that I join the team, and I was like "yayyyy absolutely count me in!" XD

So your friend here is now a podcaster, in Greek of course but hey, we all have to begin somewhere, right? ;)
YAY I'M A PODCASTER~!!!!! JOY!! =3

In other news, I got back from England on the 24th. Had a marvellous time in London with Amy, watched the second Rikkai musical (like omg the crack is killing me!!!!11!!), went shopping, met up with an old classmate of mine and watched the Golden Compass (I give the movie a 7 out of 10 because it looked and sounded brilliant but the script was the LAMEST of LAME) and also went to dinner with
[info]lonewhitecomet the night I got there... Oh, I also attended an audition which I did not pass, but it's not worth mentioning since I totally disliked the place, so ehh, we're movin' on.
Then I went to Hull and spent a day with a former classmate of mine from the IB, had lunch at a wonderful pub and dinner at her place (home cooked danish food!! yummy!!), and then my dad came and picked me up and I spent a week at his place in a small, beautiful town called Yarm. I was online most of the time downloading DBSK goodness (yes, the Korean pop band that owns my SOUL), visited his dental practice at Northallerton, watched a few movies... Mostly relaxing after an intense week in London.

And I came back to find my family as I left it, attended a couple of family lunches and so on for Christmas, and one birthday party for my friend Chris two days ago. My boyfriend's birthday party is tomorrow, and we're getting together again, the whole gang and everything. Should be fun. ^^

Hope all of you have had a wonderful Christmas, and I wish you a very happy New Year's Day in case I don't update before then. :D

Of death and fire.
This is unacceptable.

Death by fire in the year 2007. An incompetent fire department unable to reach the village where people are being burned alive. Over 100 fires raging across the country simultaneously. A prime minister blaming political extremists for this chaos, and then later in a speech to the nation proclaiming that he is joining his soul with ours in this moment of crisis.

Elections are in less than three weeks. Of course he's joining the people in this moment of crisis. Otherwise he would just stay in his house and watch TV with nothing but boxers and socks on. What an imbecile.

This thing makes me so sad, I want to cry. For the people who died, for the morons who started the fire and who should be tried for MASS MURDER if I were a judge, for this whole country as it's falling apart by the minute. And of course, for the sad, sad government. Who will probably be re-elected it seems, and that makes this country even sadder.

~
On a lighter note, the rest of my news:
  • I watched Order of the Phoenix yesterday. The script (and by definition, the cuttings they've made in order to make the script) was, as always, completely atrocious. But the cinematography, the effects, etc (ie. the visual aspect of the film) was amazing, the best one YET. It was a good sight, but as a Harry Potter movie it failed AGAIN.
Eh well, I did not expect anything better.
*lowers voice to a whisper* Was it just me or is Emma actually getting better at acting? Still the striped sweaters and the curls, and OMG the French braid in the Dumbledore's Army scene... Who are you and what have you done to Hermione Granger?
  • Prince of Tennis fanfic is going great; today I finished re-writing chapter 2, and I'm going to get started on chapter 3 soon.
  • NTNG lessons are going amazingly well, I got a new monologue today. :D It's brilliant. It's an adopted daughter talking to her mother, who has stopped speaking altogether and the whole family now feels guilty. Good play. :) Unfortunately my teacher doesn't like my squeaky voice and stuff but I can't blame her, she grew up in a time where squeaky was impossible to imagine... The bad thing is that she kinda pressures me to change my voice, and I am NOT doing that for anyone. I know the squeaky, cutesy voice will be gone eventually, but right now that's who I am and if someone doesn't like me he is not requested to tolerate me.
  • Meh. During my days of absence I have thought of nearly a million things to post on LJ about, but without the internet... it's been impossible. Never you mind though~ I'll be faithfully blogging every day when things get back to normal. Internet's still not back, but we're on our way. XD
  • Been reading the Silmarillion. It's not as bad as people say, at least so far it isn't... I'm really enjoying it!! :)

Hope all of you are well... Talk to y'all soon!! <3
